Evening all.Glad you made it home safe Carah! Its not as cold here tonight, only 26! Snow hasn't started yet, supposed to be here around midnight. Funny thing is the deeper snows are going to be south of us!
Think I will butcher a couple of roos I got at the sale yesterday. They are young and are really fat so I figured they would make good Chicken and dumplings!

Hey Teach I got four new guniea pigs this weekend! all are slick haired, one Blk/wht the others calico, two males two females. Iam trying something new with my rabbits, giving them toys! These spots are kind of hyper so I thought maybe it would do them good to have something to oocupy them. Any way thats what the "experts" say to do!lol

I would be glad to share! I had other plans but you know if I am stuck at home I will start moving. Not sure how I will pull that off but I will not just sit here!

Carah - want to guess what the roads will be like in the morning? I haven't seen school closings listed for Muskogee schools yet. We have almost an inch here, but the wind is brisk and the temperature is falling. I bet what little we did get will be slick by morning.

It is interesting how often you find guinea pigs at your auctions and we almost never see them at our auctions in Oklahoma.
I give my rabbits golf balls to entertain them and branches off of non-fruit trees to chew on. They seem to like having something to chew on as entertainment. I also give them pinecones and sometimes buy unshellaced baskets at the thrift store for them to chew up.

The road & bridges were starting to freeze when we came home around 6ish. We got the one call for the closing & Madison answered it. So far the only one's I am finding online is Ft. Gibson & the votech...... The turnpike was worse than 69 & 40.

The teeth of rabbits continuously grow. Normally, just chewing on their pellets is sufficient to keep their teeth trimmed down. I give them the sticks and pinecones more to entertain them than because they have to have them. some of the rabbits will turn a 2 foot long branch into pieces of wood about 2 inches long in just a few days. Others entertain themselves by pushing the stick out of their cage and onto the floor. They are like a child tossing a toy out of the crib. They like maneuvering the stick so that it will come out of the cage spaces.

We have to make sure that Maddie's guinea pig has something to chew on for that reason, she keeps a wooden hut thing that she chews on. She also has toys in with it.
