Kronk is probably from a very large family, with lots of in-laws and out-laws speaking different languages at the same time.

Did you ever wonder what kind of "dialect" the cavemen had and whether it varied by local? I suppose even cave paintings would vary from region to region.

Wayne, are you sure you are only considering buying them for your Okie friends? After all, sometimes buying birds "for someone else" leads to us keeping a few for ourselves.

Marybeth : How in the heck do you do it !!!!!!! stay up so late chatting and then get up as early as you do to head to work for a full day. When I am runnin & gunnin I gotta be in the sack by 11pm or I can't do the 5:00am thing.

Several of us were discussing those birds. I was informed they were some birds mike had picked up from Superior when they went out. I had never seen a Blue, Rosecombed, hen feathered, bird with spurs and am still curious to know what they were.

I am pretty sure those are the same birds I bought from Michael about a year ago. I sold them at Blanchard in September and I saw them back there another time. I can't say for sure they ever laid an egg in the ten months or so that I owned them.
The guy from Superior told Michael they were Rosecomb Blue Minorcas. They were bigger than the Andalusians I used to raise.

Maribeth I have several different breeds of hens that have spurs. Some of my Marans and Welsummers have spurs.

Their rosecombs and the color of their feathers was just beautiful. They would have made pretty "eye candy" but I suspect that is all they will ever be. Marans and Welsummer hens with spurs? Is that considered normal in hens of those breeds? Do they lay eggs?

I am reminded of the way hens can have a hormone change and start crowing and otherwise behaving like roosters. I wonder if those that begin crowing are also the ones that develop spurs?

Yes, Michael indicated they were the hens that you owned for awhile. They obviously are healthy and have a strong constitution, since they have managed to survive with several different owners.

I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon

Also, I almost never get up at 0500. 0630 is more my speed.
I am yawning however and starting to cough again, so will take some cough syrup and go to bed. Good night.

hey, got two maybe three inches guess we are down to blowing snow now. Since we live on land in the verticle, our hill can be a bear with snow on it, to get up the driveway.
and no, I didn't get the car finished, ran out of time and sunlight.
Winter of '82, we lived in Okmulgee where I was goin to OST, overhauled a Toyota corolla in the parking lot. there was about the same amount of snow on the ground.
I just stand up for a re-fill the cup, and the two re-hab roosters start to crowing, then all the roosters go to crowing, then a 1/2 mile east of us, a rooster starts to crow. Like to think it's Carla's but I know it's not.

Morning Coop! No coffee here just coke! We have about two inches here it looks like. That was supposed to be all we get but I'm sure there will be more. Looks like the neighborhood people are headed out to work, although the street is white.I let the dogs outside but my Roos haven't started crowing yet!
I applaud you mechanics who can work on vehicles in any weather. I can't even do it in a garage! No mechanical savvy at all.

good morning all its all white outside here coffie listening to all them roos going off out there what another beautiful start to the day
