Spent the afternoon at my son's basketball game.
They won 24-22 on a last second shot.
The game right before ours went into overtime and the other team from our school won by two.
So I guess it was an exciting day for the fifth grade teams here.

The FLETCHER AUCTION was hopping tonight.. great turnout for the first auction of the new year and the prices were fairly decent...

Always a treat to be getting some sugar

Hi all, went to the Guy Rose Auction south of Stillwater today, not too many birds but several game hens, bid on some but stopped at $8, they went for $9 to some Vietnamese to eat. They buy several usually, I did see an interesting Roo there, I am pretty sure it was a Red Cap but it was not exactly the right color and no hen so I let the Vs have it at $5. There were three trios of Light Brahmas and a Dark Brahma hen, some young RIR and several mixed breed hens. about 12 rabbits, mostly bucks, I bought a couple laying hens, one looks like a Comet the other I believe I have seen them call Austra whites, it is a large hen like a RIR or Rock it is white with black specks all over, kinda splash like. dark legs, clean face and small comb. I think possibly she is and Austrolorp cross white Rock. I also bought some junk( uuuuh items) and only spent about $50, pne item was a covered cat litter box that I use for nestboxes. Bid on a large dog crate up to $12 but it went for $17. Got Dakota a nice Cd player stereo for $5. Heather a Dora talking Kitchen for $8 and a box of kids books for $4. Not a bad day, then we went to my son Aaron's Homecoming, he and his girlfriend were King and Queen. Then they lost their game in the last 3 minutes by five points, they played hard and did good, I am proud of them!!! Lynn

Where at in Missouri? My dear husband and I may have to make a trip that direction if it's in SW Missouri area. I have relatives that area!

We went to the Newcastle, OK auction tonight and sold some roosters and eggs, bought some silkie chicks and a blue slate turkey hen and still came home with money

Oh, and we met NoCityBoy and visited with Auctionlover and others. We had a great time as usual. I must admit, we are auction-holics. I just wish we could have fit in a few more auctions this weekend to visit with more Okies.

Lynn, that's another auction that I want to go to that I've never had the pleasure of attending. Well, I guess I need to find out when their next one is and sweet-talk Gerald into taking me.

I sure wish I could talk him into buying me one of your cute spotted piglets too, but that probably won't happen. Although when I mentioned it to him earlier ... I almost thought he was considering a pig.
