OK lets see what I can do to help you! showing is alot of fun. If you are a kid you can do it two ways, if you are in 4H you can show there at your local club plus you can go to what are called open shows (one in Pryor in March, another in Durant but can't remember the date, they are both bantam only). Do you are already have show quality birds?? If so you are just need to find a show & do a google search "how to show a chicken" "showing poulty" , after that come back here with any questions & I'm sure we can help you out.

What kind of chickens do you have??? OH you can also do a search here on the BYC in the Breeding/showing topic.

Well we ended up with about three inches of snow! Now it has cleared and the wind is up and the bottom is falling out of the temp! May be in the single digits tonight! Moved the g.pigs back inside today, moved one pair of pigeons and their baby into a lighted enclosed pen for a little warmth and gave piglet her heat lamp. Filled the dog house up with fresh straw ,which she kicked out during the snow!

so hopefully everything will survive the night. Its so pretty out right now, with the moon and the reflection of all the town lights its like a dim daylight outside! And this snow stuck to every little branch and leaf available. So I guess I better do like Greybear and go crawl under all those quilts and hibernate:th!

They are Bantams Greybear, also have a dozen Buff Orphington hens for eggs, got 10 today. Red Pyles came from Gene Williams who got them from Troy Vannoy, Blacks from Choice Bantams and BBReds from Andy Barnes. Have hatched 26 so far this year, think I will shut my incubators off until my Seramas and Silkies start laying.

Teach would be all over some Mountain Dew chickens, if anyone wants a new project.

The chickens roosting in the open all were sparkling in the moonlight due to the frost on their feathers.

Good Morning

Got lots to do today with the kids... Tomorrow(Lord Willing) will finally be butchering day... I know it sounds sinister but its one of those "things" that needs to get done so I can focus on something else... lol

Hope you all stay warm I know its currently 17 in my neck of the woods
