Good looking roo - great job on uploading the photo!

Thanks City, his dad is the cochin and mom the serema. He has the body size of the serema but with fethers on his feet. And he has the funniest crow, kinda sounds like a mix of garggling water and one of those funny wistles that clowns use.

Hey Okla, I think you wanted to see some pics of the seremas. This one isnt that great, they wont sit still. This is a 3-4 mnth old straight feather pullet. I took 1 of the frizzle but its even worse. Cant even really see that shes frizzled, but shes identicle to this 1 in color. Black with a silver peciling on the neck.

Norman has several policies in place. First off if it is in the single digit temperatures they cancel school because they feel it is unsafe for the students who walk to school or have to wait out side for the bus. The other policy, if not student are able to make it to school then school is canceled. Honestly the residential and county roads around Norman are really bad and don't get me started on how bad HWY9 is. Also imagine a bus full of screaming kids on the nasty roads.

The problem is that we will be in school until June. Big Suck!!!

At my school in the city alot of kids don't have propper winter clothes and walk to school. Some don't have heat in their homes.

We teachers sometimes buy clothes for some. We have a great Social Worker that really know2s our kid's lives. She got a donation of 100 pair of khaki pants for uniforms and always has a supply of socks and underwear available.
I am glad the kids don't have to get out in this. I bet they are going crazy inside though and it looks like we will not finish the semester untill July.

We've got 2 Sumatras that unless we lock them up, one or the other is always missing somewhere on a hidden nest.

WTG, Betsy!!! We've got a full bator + 2 broodies right now and I doubt we'll get 10 chicks between them.

Silkies are my all time worst to hatch. Any thought on what you might have at POOPs?

School was in for us today. Haven't gotten to digging out the mailbox or more than 1/3 of the drive yet, but the roads look passable. It's cold and overcast. No snow yet though.

Can't watch anymore of the news for awhile, too upsetting. I expect it, but .....

Like the middle aged guys that have heart attacks while shoveling every year. The elderly that die of exposure within feet of their doors every year.
