Hey lynndid you see my post about my cam pine (silly iPad won't let me spell it together!lol) ? Her toes have stopped curling and she is walking again, kind of shaky and still has to sit but duffently better!
Boy that would be a bunch of pork! I guess you could shred it for pulled pork, that's a big favorite down here in the south.

Trim their nails, put a plywood bottom in the cage and as long as you keep it dry, they shouldn't get sore hocks. That said, I have a Flemish buck on the ground right now to clear up his sore hocks. I had him on a thick layer of straw to keep him off the wire, but he still got sore hocks

Yeah I seen the post, sorry I didn't relay, Mine did not do so good, she got down and couldn't get back up so I put her out of her missery. I was thinking on pulled pork of a sorts with some BBQd and some not(my wife likes it without sauce on it) May even chop some up for sandwiches if someone wants that, do you think I need to mess with the deer meat or will the pig be enough??? Matt I am very partial to my blue birds so if you want blue specificly you may have to wait on me to pick first, I could however get you started with some from my bloodlines and they all have blue in them and should hatch a few blues from them. I am just selectively breeding for different blue color patterns!!! Here is a pic of my Blue Toppy/ Hatch cross roo with his brother when they were a few months younger!!! I call them Fir back Blues or Copper Blues(as Poco Polo called her brother she got from me) Lynn

hi guys! rain? what rain- well, we got enough to settle the dust....

a few rumbles- still waiting for the second wave

why would a young cochin hen lay soft shelled eggs consistently? One of mine lays hers from the roost every nite...they have oystershell.....

The wind picked up (probably 30+ mph), it got dark instantly, and then we had a downpour. The rain lasted about 10 minutes and then quit. I walked the pens and checked all the birds. Everyone is fine. I'll need to dump all the feeders I forgot to move into the barn. They filled with water so now there's a nice brown slurry of feed in each one. Yuck.
