I know things move a little to fast sometimes but that is the fun of it sometimes, That's why some of us never stay gone very long or we will never catch back up. Cheer up though you'll get better at it.

Does anyone know if a 18volt battery charger will burn up a 12 volt computer fan? I am believing it will be ok since it will not be pulling a lot of amps, thinking about putting it in my LG.

Sounds to me like maybe too much air was exchanged cooling the eggs or maybe the temp was just set too low on the bator.

If you are using a thermometer that came with the bator the first thing that I want you to do is throw that thing as far as you can.

Next get a better one, perferably a digital with a high/low temp recall feature. I have been using one from Petsmart that is intended for reptile habitats and has a hydrometer built into it for years now.

Next I want to see where you have the bator set up. Any floor or ceiling vents near by? Does the room temp stay constant or nearly so all day and through the night? Does the sunlight from a window shine in on the bator at any time?

It is setting in a corner of my spare bedroom to the north end of the house away from the window which is on the north side. I am using the original thermostat that came with the turner. By the way it is a still air incubator. I will probably put some mixed eggs in my new bator this week for a test run.

Another thing that needs to be done, once the temp is taken care of, is that every couple of days swap the eggs around in the turner. The ones directly under the heating element go either to the outside or inside and tjose by the turner motor goes to the opposite end or at least someplace else. Otherwise those under the heating element will hatch first as will those by the turner motor.

Last time I got something I thought he wanted I got stuck with it. Finally sold it last week. So much for helping a bro out(Better not say that where he can hear, I might not get my Orp. back.)
