I know! They likely do this during the week when we're at work. It was about 20 ft from the house when I first saw it.
I hope you got a shot off! That means you most likely have a large pack that needs to be taken out. Back in the fall they were coming right up in the yard getting my chickens & my boy started calling them in & taken them out.
I was able to get a shot off, but didn't drop it. Maybe I was able to wound it. Was using a 22 with hollow points.
I can't spend the time hunting them because of school, work, and half a dozen other things. My BF isn't much help there either. Talks about doing it but nada.

Thank you to everyone/ anyone who nominated me for the BYC spirit award. I understand why NNbreeder got the Educator award and why Teach got the BYC friend award, but am very humbled to receive an award myself, presumably for something I enjoy doing ~ enabling others to have more poultry than they have room to house.
Headed that way too.
Stephanie and Carl...the girls are beginning to lay...two light cream colored eggs today...don't know which ones yet...there were three hens in the same box..."Stuck like Glue"...
Hey wayne how is that flemish doing, I gotta say I'm jealous I really want some but they are hard to find in these parts. The only ones I've found have titles like world champion and I'm afraid I can't/won't afford those.
