When did you plant it??? My mother in law has a green thumb like no other & her's are slow coming out this year & also took alot of damage from the snows we had this winter.

early march i think, just looks like a stick in some dirt still, everything else i planted this year is starting to bud out (honey suckle, grape vine, strawberries, snowball bush)

Hummm take it back & get another or throw some fertilizer to it & see if that helps......

How will you do the climbing one's? I put mine against a fence & so far have Zuccini, Butternut squash, tomato, leaf lettuce & a few onions.

We just let them flow over the side we have lots of room

Do I have to worry about rot or anything like that if they vine on the ground?? I'm going to have to fence it off to keep my chickens out of it!

old*cowboy, I have had a few birds come up with that, I gave them 1/8 cc of LA300 in the left breast, if its something you REALLY want to save, do it three days in a row and get some equine red cell, and give them a few drops orally for a few days...if that dont do it, you didnt want them in the first place....

I wouldn't think so as we have always let the vine stuff run where ever. And yeah we did build a fence this year. But the turkeys flew
Over it when they free range with anyone other than the NN

old*cowboy :

Need some medical advise for my Modern Game rooster (standard) he has swollen on both sides of face in front of eyes. Is it his tear ducts, and how do I treat. Thanks in advance. Guy

make it a 1/4 cc him being a standard, I am used to medicating bantams...I did have one rooster that never did get over it, but I raised some chicks from him. He never acted sick, he ate, drank, crowed, covered hens, the whole works just had that one dang side of his face swollen in front of his eye....never did get over it, after 9 months, I finally just 'cured' him...

old*cowboy :

GotGame, thanks, do you know what caused it.

I blame it on all the weather changes, last year, everytime we had a big temp. swing or a lot of moisture, I would have one or two birds come down with it....I overmedicated a lot last year, lol, now if it is a bird that isnt real important, I just give them a little red cell and mostly they got over it, maybe some vetrx on the nose, just to help them breath, if it was a nice bird, I gave them one shot and put them back, if it is a valuable bird, do as previously stated....but, if i have a bird that comes down sick twice, they dont get medicated the second time, just isolated for a week....then they are either well or gone
