The one in the maple tree is dark blue purple and small flowered, the other one is lighter red/purple and larger flowered.

This is a pic I took a few days ago of the reddish purple one. I haven't uploaded any of the other ones to this site.

And there is a surprise in the second photo for Teach!

I posted an even better one a few days ago for Teach, but he never commented on it.

early march i think, just looks like a stick in some dirt still, everything else i planted this year is starting to bud out (honey suckle, grape vine, strawberries, snowball bush)

Hummm take it back & get another or throw some fertilizer to it & see if that helps......

Mine have been in for over 5 years, they are blooming the same as ever.

Do I have to worry about rot or anything like that if they vine on the ground?? I'm going to have to fence it off to keep my chickens out of it!

I wouldn't think so as we have always let the vine stuff run where ever. And yeah we did build a fence this year. But the turkeys flew
Over it when they free range with anyone other than the NN

MIL are blooming but she lost alot of the vine that has been there for years. So they are smaller. The ones she gave me were on the east fence & weren't getting enough sun.
