can you contact the hatchery sending the barred rocks and have them add a couple of EE pullets? They would all be the same age and from the same place and then you wouldnt need to quarantine them. Otherwise, I recommend a 2 week quarantine for the feed store chicks and wait until they are fully feathered (about 10 days) before conbining the two groups.

Good idea, will have to see how they handle the addition.

I ordered them from MY PET CHICKEN. I very much doubt that the feed store will be getting them from the same place.

Yeah, I doubt that too. Still shouldn't be a problem I have many times placed chicks together that are a week or more a part.
The feed store most likely get theirs from a big hatchery, which should be npip tested and a good breeder will be so, I myself would go for it...but that's just me talking.

they shouldn't have a problem with it- they are a good source

Just want to say that was one heck of a football game. That is what a Super Bowl should look like every year. Both teams played their hearts out and even though both teams scored high it was very much the defense that won the game.

Hats off to all you Steelers and Packers fans out there. You should be proud of how your team played.

You might consider ordering at least two EE pullets - birds of a feather flock together, and at least in my flock, all the birds of the same breed tend to stick together...

Currently? I'm losing it, almost. He said he just wants everyone to leave him alone, and I respect that, but his tone tells me that I shouldn't. He won't answer anyones calls anymore and won't reply to anyones texts or emails. I really wish I had kept my promise to go over to his house yesterday. I had actually planned on staying the night there but my sister came up from Paulsvalley yesterday and I had to change my plans. Maybe I could've talked him out of taking off. I don't know there're just too many coulda shoulda woulda's in this. He's my best friend as I've said. We've taken care of one another for the past two and a half years and we've been through a lot together. I don't think I could bear it to lose him. Does that sound weird or something?

It doesn't sound weird to me - it sounds like you are good friends and rely on each other. So sorry your friend is going through this, and I'll keep him and his family - and you and yours - in my prayers. If you find him, remind him that he is loved and wanted.

******************************** POOPS Information post **************************

Just a short post to keep everybody informed on what's the Latest information on our annual POOPS event.

Over the past three years our annual POOPS event has been held in the early spring at the KOA campgrounds in OKC. Due to some complications with the scheduling at KOA and all of the things they have planned at that time they have informed us regretably that they would not be able to accomodate us this year in their schedule. Monty & Myself have been working for the past 2 months on an alternative plan B regarding a venue, we have explored many avenues and site's and we feel we have found the best place and date that will best fit our needs as a group and all of our activities we normally have planned.

This years annual POOPS event will be held on Saturday, May 14th, at the Fletcher AG grounds, to many of you this is the site of the Fletcher poultry auction. It is located in downtown Fletcher Ok. The site offers us many things we required, for instance..........
Several enclosed area's for inclement weather protection, a great area for dining, clean bathrooms, plenty of electricity, and a huge covered area to host all of our poultry needs. We still have allot of details to work out and more detailed information will be posted in the Official POOPS announcement that will be coming out very soon, we ask that you be a little patient as we work on this and I promise it won't be too long before we have most of it going full steam ahead as is our tradition.
On behalf of the POOPS staff we thank you for your patients.
