I am frequently astonished at how little people "know" regarding the differences between birds and mammals. The formation and fertilization of eggs within the hen's body is another source of mystery to many.

an alive chicken in person and touch it.. kid you not...

I would like to ask how many on our forum raise Gamefowl, or Old English Games in large or bantums? I have raised Large Gamefowl most of my life and think they are in my opinion the most beautiful breed, I tend to like the rare and odd colors and types such as the Tassled or Muffed varieties and the rare colors like the Pumpkins and hard to breed color of Blue. Would really be interested in visiting with others with the same interest. I know several use the game hens to set eggs, I do too, they also lay very well and mine are usually the first to lay in the winter. The roos can be a bit protective to down right mean sometimes, but they can also be very loving and sweet when handled in the right manner. Just some thought for the day, have a Blessed Day All!!!! Lynn
