my friends with disels are gettin' bugged eye! That is some seriously crazy expensive...I might have to start looking for one of them cars that gets good gas mileage...not that it would take much to do better than what we drive!

Our neighbor's son is 17, a strong, big football player with a nice truck and no money for gas. Last time he neede gas, his dad gave him $4.00 and said "No more 20 dollar bills." I need at least 15 post holes dug and DH and I both have bad backs. Dh already had L4 an L5 fused and L3 is not doing so well. I don't want to know about my back. Did you see the prices for some of the eggs on the Hatching Eggs for Sale thread? Some folks must be getting Spring Chicken Fever. BC Marans, Lavender Orpingtons and Lavender Ameraucana eggs are crazy! Maybe my Lavender Cochins will sell well some day. They sure aren't ready yet; few feathers on their feet and no yellow legs. But I just got a nice black pair to cross with them. The first generation will all be Black Split to Lavender though. Patience Grasshopper.
I sure am enjoying taking care of my birds. I have been dealing with alot of Arthritis lately - hip and back and knees and most recently especially bad shoulders. But today, in this nice weather, I was feeling no pain moving chickens around, cleaning up after the snow and Pen project area ready. Chickens must be the cure for mind AND body.
