made a day yard for the silkies, just too pretty out to keep them in - waiting on making a coop for them- barny didn't think it was such a great thing- he can't figure frosty out- he stood there staring at him- frosty sounds like a roo...but what is this fluffy thing? off he goes growling under his breath- then realizes i have the cochin door open- aha! now there is a roo worth the trouble- so he dashes between my legs to hop down the stairs after Captain, who is oblivious- only i grab barny by his tail and drag him back of the stairs and close the door- of course then i had to give him a treat to apologize for embarassing him in front of all the lady's!


so there you have my day in a nutshell!

So glad the weather is cooperating! we will be having our auction tommorow! It felt odd not having one on the first saturday! Hopefully we will see everyone there. tommorow morning i will have a little bit more detail on what we have consigned

This was a long week. The students were great unbtill Thursday afternoon; the warn weather had them getting an early case of Spring fever.
Two of my Mille Fleur pullets sat on their nests thru all the snow and cold and have hatched 13 ckicks so far!

...is right! What the H??!!

But fortunately for me, I don't "let" them. I'm not sure I could STOP them. Sure didn't take them no two minutes, though. 130 pound dog against a 10 pound possum isn't much of a match.

Although I have stopped them a couple of times and shot the thing, more to protect my dogs from the stray bite from a possibly diseased animal than anything.
