Wow! Just got back in from feeding. That wind is something else. Only had one chickencicle. It was one of my teenage NH Reds, think she there was already something wrong w/ her. She was runt.

Well, I just returned from checking on the chickies and boy is it cold. I was surprised to find 16 eggs, since I didnt think there would be any. That is only about half of what ive been gettn tho. I will be glad when this stuff is over with and gone.

I think I am now in for the day/night. Got my Neighbor squared away with meds and soup, her husband is out in west lawton and can't make it back here because of the snow drifting, and their furnace is out, so I brought over my big Kerosene heater to keep them warm. Thing's have settled down and the sun is out, but I think we are in for a few day's of thing's being a little screwy. I am glad to hear our fellow Okies are all safe, you folks in the NE, I feel sorry for you guy's lot's of snow. I spoke to Pepper/AKA Charley and he got 14" and his pen's need some serious shoveling out. Everybody stay safe, and don't freeze your nose off like I almost did today LOL.

well im finally back in for the day , from feeding and watering the chickens , and horses , we have drifts that are almost waste deep to me lol , which i find halarious lol ... the weather has the horses actin a bit rowdy , the chickens are actually smart enough so far not to come out of the big coop , but all my birds are together now ,with heat lamp and the laying light , didnt get an egg today at all , the past two days i got an egg from the nn hen i got from don , so they will go in the bator , what a big hatch that will be 2 eggs lol , making some snow ice cream now . gotta have the desert before the dinner , think ill make some deer stew

Hey Joe just rain and gusty winds here. How bad is the cold there. Temp wise.

I got 12 eggs today,I'm saving some of the best for your shipment Donnie! Hope this blizzard doesn't make your and Joes new Coronations sick. Have they been outside birds?
News just said we will be in the twentys tomorrow!,in the 50s today!
Sooner I'm going to have to try that receipe,it sure sounds good for a cold day! Now I would like to see the dumpling receipe!lol. The only ones I can make are the canned biscuit type!I'd like a good dumplin receipe to use with my blackberries too!

LOL Wayne you know better than to dangle "GAME" breeds in front of "SOME" of us!!! I would love to have a nice trio of young ones, preferably in Blue or Blue type color patterns!!! I have a friend that lives in S. Oregon that has some and we were going to trade some eggs or chicks when he got them going good! I need to holler at him! He has a beautiful BlueRed cock bird. He calls his Key West Gypsies, I think that is a cool name!!!! Lynn
