Just a few hens & a Roo o :

Does anyone know if we crossed an olive egg layer with a barred rock roo or black australorp roo if the offspring would still lay the olive eggs? I have several eggs that I want to hatch, but want to kep the olive eggs if possible, would love to have some blue to go with them for the bator too.

It's better to cross a marans with the olive egger to keep the dark green color, or if the color is good, breed olive egger to olive egger. If you cross with a light brown egg layer then the color of the egg will be much lighter.

I raise olive eggers, as do several others here. I recommend you get some hatching eggs from a fellow Okie

Looks like several folks will be at Cement tonight. I woke up with the bells going off in my head that it is a "cash only" auction so I better go by the ATM in case I see something that "needs to go home with me"
