just remember the poop...run from the quail

Some folks who came and got a couple of pickup truck loads of "assorted" composted manure from us a few weeks ago, told me they bought "quail poop" last year from a breeder around the Guthrie area who had several thousand quail. I am thinking that it would take a lot of quail to get a bucketfull of quail poo. What am I forgetting? When I raised them before, I had them in a shed with wood shavings on the floor and maybe because there were only about 20 quail, the poo was never an issue

hate it when that happens Donnie...people's dogs dying in your yard...how rude!

we are just carrying on as usual...Doc is being mean...my wife is being mean...think I will buy some more chickens

Is your wife being mean because of the alligator or because she heard you wanted to buy more chicken? Wait, wait, don't tell me. . . . she found out Doc is holding onto bantams for your arrival next week in Texas. Am I close?

I didn't have any special varieties of quail that needed to be kept separate, so just let them have the run of the shed. I spent many an hour watching them while sitting in the wood shavings - and trying to find their eggs in the wood shavings ~ which acted like camoflage

so sorry donnie!!

hey- tell me- with the lone guinea in a run and coop where the others can see but not touch- will she ever be accepted by them???
