thanks Al, i really am not positive she is as her legs aren't as think as i have seen in photos- but the problem i see in restricting food, is i would have to keep her separate from the others, which opens a nother bucket of worms.... so do you have pics of your cornish x at her age? what do you think? lets see.... they live 3 months- i may bring her to poops if it is obvious what she is

And it may not be Robin but in just one week we should know. Yes restricting feed will require seperation and I know your strained as it is on seperating breeds or groups. Give me some time and I will look through my pic's to see if I can come up with something to help you ID it.

thanks AL! i have had all sorts of opinions... gets annoying-

am trying to get everyone in pens- the special needs silkies are first on the list- i have a couple little pens, but they need their coops- have you ever heard of a chicken with alergies? i have this house cochin that has wheezing off and on....

Robin : these Cornish Crosses are some that I bred but they should be close enough for you to tell in about a week or so, these birds are a couple of weeks old and have all the same traits.

No Robin there is no such thing as Alergy's in chicken's, It is probably some form of CRD, the wheezing can be controled but if it is CRd I am afraid all you can do is provide temperary relief, but some forms of CRD are contagious and can spread quickly. Tylon 50 or 200 injected daily for 10 day's will stop the wheezing but it can and will return at any time and it maybe often.

No they will be bright pink as very young chicks then will turn yellow once they start to feather out really well.
