Evening, Okies: Parent/Teacher Conferences tonight. I've only seen five parents so far. We're here until 7:00. This is going to be a long night.

Art students set up their work in the cafeteria during the last two class periods. The poetry club, equipped with a bongo drum, is entertaining anyone brave enough to walk past. I hope they have a good time.

Good luck. Most veterinarians won't touch poultry. There used to be one vet on S. Shields that would treat chickens. Her office visit fee was as much as having a dog get all its shots and the medicine she prescribes was even more expensive. I wouldn't take a rooster or even a hen unless it was a special pet since my one trip there was so expensive and she was guessing at a diagnosis. You might be able to get some advice on here if you describe the symptoms.

Hey everyone, how are yall doing?

We got the coop moved over the weekend and Jason was sure pleased as punch in getting it done... now its time for the clean up of where the coop used to be as that will now turn into the garden area.

Kids enjoyed their spring break and were some what perplexed at having to go back to school today but all and all the daily grind must resume duty. Chickens are laying pretty well with these nicer days... Sold 4 18 counts over the weekend and made $10 off the sale... but alas it all goes back to feed expense...or at least help defer some of the costs.

Had a wonderful wonderful visit Thursday and Friday with a dear old grade school/highschool classmate that was graduating from boot camp (he is prior active military but the Army made him go through Army boot camp..lol hey at least he is coming in as a Specialist instead of a e-1 or e-2) anyhoot it was so much fun laughing at old times and then looking through the year book (Go Class of 1996) and then being sadly reminded of some of our class mates that have passed away since then either to Drunk Driving,Cancer,or just plain ol horrible accidents.... yea the weekend was good....
