Blanchard was my first bird sale, better bring some extra cash. It gets real addictive and there are some nice birds at blanchard. remember there are no 12 step programs for breaking a bird buying habit.

I've never been to a chicken auction either, but they do sound interesting. Blanchard is probably the closest one to me, and am thinking about going to the one this weekend. I won't know anyone there, but it might be fun anyway.

I will be hatching some brown reds this year, from a few of the best brown red breeders in the nation....if you find yourself in market for some later in the year, hollar at me

k ill remember that , the roo i have placed 3rd at hopa i believe and i dont remember what the hen placed , but ill keep that in mind but ill be scoping out a few other varieties too , i really liked my brassy backs and blue brassy backs , and self blues , red pyles are my favorite tho and good color and type is hard to find in them for some odd reason
Here are a couple pics of a 5 week old chick I hatched (the first for me), I am wondering if anyone could tell from the pics if it is a Lt/Dark Brahma cross or a Lt. Brahma/ Blue Orp. cross. The one I call Obrahma is the last pic. It is for shure a Orp/Lt Brahma cross.

The first chick has Brahma colored legs but they are featherless

im picky on the oegb big time
Where did you get your brassys and blue brassys from? There are hardly any around, I can only name 3 breeders of blue brassy backs nationwide (I am sure there are more but dont know of any others personally) You might be too picky for my birds to suit you
