What kind of Standards. Do you know what time you will be there. I have a fund raiser for my wifes work that I have to attend. I have to leave my house at 4pm to be at Oaktree by 5pm so I probably will not get to see very many birds tonight.

We planned on leaving here about 3. do we need to get there a little earlier so you can swing by and look before you leave?

Oh, well she might want to at that, if we can find the right type golden hens...there is only one other person whose birds I have seen that are small and typey like yours, and he is in missouri... and I dont think they are as small as yours

It will be fall if then before i have any. I have got to raise some for myself. And we have so many projects going on right now. I know I wouldnt be able to start another one for at least 5 months.

Oh, no I understand, I will just have to keep my eyes open and see if I stumble across some...

Well if she doesnt want to let me know. I will take a look at him to see if I want to bother with an extra project. Carl said the male golden is 14 ounces. So I would have to pull some size off of him.

Hey fellow Okies!

I have 4 hens that are ready for freezer camp. I have never processed a chicken before and even though I've read the meaties thread and there are some great play by play instructions, I'm kind of a hands on person and I think I'd do a lot better with some in person guidance. Here are my questions:

Is anyone within an hour of so of OKC going to be dispatching of chickens in the next couple of weeks? If so, can either watch or bring my chickens and follow along?

LOL, I know this sounds silly, but I just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

If you are ready you can swing by with your birds tomorrow and my husband will show you how. So long as you dont mind them being skinned? He deskins the bird. It will take him all of 10 minutes to show you how to do both birds.

Edited because I cant count!.... It will take him about 20 minutes or less to do 4 birds...lol
