hey jarvis.. one thing that works for the skunk smell is to shampoo them with tomato juice first..it will kill the smell then rinse them good... i have coon hounds and sometimes they forget what they are suppose to be chasing and get sprayed ..lol... the tomato juice seems to kill the smeill...

well, he weighs 17.5 ounces, but as to his height I would guesstimate him to be 8 inches tall when standing normally

I would gladly do the tomato juice but these are big dogs and would take quite a bit. I also find it fun to lock them outside for a day or 2, it helps them to remember that is off limits...LOL

yes, he is taller than your golden, he may be 9 inches tall. Oh and as for skunk smell, I have had 3 dogs, 1 hound and 2 terriers that LOVE skunk, plain vinegar poured on them and rubbed in, left for 6 hours and then just hosed off, it will cut about 90% of the skunk smell, but you gotta do it within the first 12 18 hours for it to be real effective...

Well, he definitly weighs more than my rooster if I remember his weight correctly, my hens only weigh 12 ounces so I think my rooster in no more than 15. But it does seem like something to work with. I would just have to see him. Tell Crystal she would have fun but it would be alot of tracking.

I seriously doubt she will want to go to all the trouble, toe punching, keeping track of every mating for at least 2 years more than likely, to just get a good start on them...

I think i have a brand new gallon of vinegar in the cabinet.

I had two terriers that were house dogs that got a skunk probably once every two months, I guarantee it works. I have used it half a dozen times on hounds as well. It doesnt knock ALL the smell off but most of it, and most importantly, after the vinegar rubdown (very thorough rubdown) and then being hosed off, the smell wont be rubbing off on anything else...
