I think we've been adopted. A cute little girl dog w/ adorable eyes, my husband can't resist!!!!!! So far she had been real good w/ the chickens, I told my husband that would be a deal breaker if she was agressive or overly interested in the girls, but so far she has been a perfect angel even when she didn't know she was being watched. Our run is preditor proofish, as long as the preditor isn't to hungry or determined, b/c we have a fenced in yard and put them up in coops at night. She is on the small side when she fills out probably 30 lbs, red w/ a white on her nose, toes, and tip of her tail, short straight hair, and her eyes are the same red/orange as her fur. I'll post pics later maybe someone will have an idea of what kind of mutt she is.

Interesting day at our Oklahoma legislature. I was there to talk with my Senator about his position on [ahem] a certain matter before that august body, then settled in the Senate gallery to observe the vote. The bill never came up, but while I was waiting a bill on livestock came on the floor. Seeings I'm accumulating a little, I perked up.

HB 1249 passed overwhelmingly in both houses. It removes the exemption to trespassing for entering another's land to retrieve your livestock without their permission. So, if your cattle or goats, etc, get out and go onto your neighbor's land, you can be forced to pay restitution if they damage crops etc, but you can't go and get them without the express permission of the landowner.

The bill is on its way to the governor for her signature.

Interesting debate, by the way. I never realized so many of our lawmakers owned cattle. About everyone except the bill's Senate sponsor, it seems.
