I have my Aunt's recipe for Dilly Green Tomatos. They are made with green Cherry Tomatos. I have never canned but wanted the recipe just incase I ever do. They have3 a dill flavor, of course and also garlic.
I have another Aunt's recipe for green tomato relish, so good on hamburgers.

I wonder if the "green tomato relish" is what some people call chow chow. love the pickled green tomatoes at mcgeehees,if you"ve never been there good food.

dobies are known to outsmart their trainers, good luck

...

I have loved Dobes ever since I saw the movie "The Doberman Gang" way back in the 70s. It was about dogs that were trained to rob banks. Way cool. LOL

The secret to training them is that they have to live their training from day one and I like to start them as soon as they are weaned. But for this project I would take an older dog.

Our Louie came from across the street. He was neglected and going to die from a bad infection in creatches on his face, still has a scar above one eye. We went over and ask if we could have him. They simply said yes. We figured we would get him well and give him to a family that wanted a nice dog, Ha!
He is looking forward to POOPS, going to make him a special chicken-themed bandana.
BTW - up at this hour to let him out for a potty break. Of course the conversation is over now.
No, not over! Hello night owls.

One trick I have used in the past is that first thing in the morning I will feed chicks boiled eggs that are mashed up. The extra protien will really give them a good boost.

Another good thing to have on hand is Poly-Vi-Sol baby vitamins that you can get at walmart. Without the added iron. If you have a chick that is acting just a bit off give it two drops once a day.

Of course watch for signs of Cocci and pasty butt plus watch if they are too hot or cold.

After my nap, I started reading at page 915 and dozed off a few times....but now I'm caught up on page 962....whew!I hae recipes for chowchow, saurkraut, and green tomatoe pickles. Will try to get those posted.

Called ICU and will bring hubby home Wednesday...today....time flys. Dr will insert a modified trach also..Big news!

Looking forward to some nice weather to work in the yard. I have a flat of snapdragons to plant in the flower beds and need to pick up tomatoe and pepper plants to set out. Also need to get the corn and squash ground ready.

Night all...will check in Wed afternoon.
