Good Evening everyone.

Spent the day getting ready for natures weather coming our way. Gathered about 50 gallons of water and enough groceries to do for a while. Got propane that is going to be delivered tomorrow. Going to Co-Op first thing in the morning to get extra feed for the chickens, ducks and horses. Hopefully we are over reacting. I hate Ice and Snow.
I am preparing for what ever may come our way.

Hope everyone stays warm and safe.

It was a good weekend. The weather was gorgeous Friday evening and Saturday. Dean and I walked around Mary's for a few hours on Saturday morning and he found a trailer for Jaxon's dad to buy. Jaxon and I had fun Saturday afternoon and at the Fletcher auction - then again this morning at Sunday School and at Mary's. My Carhartt overalls kept me warm this afternoon. I am tired but in a good kind of way. And most importantly, I decreased my quantity of ducks by a total of 10 and only increased my chickens by one.

I guess now that you know which corner of the hardware store has an electrical outlet where you can plug in a power strip to recharge Laura and Alyssa's phones and Alyssa's electronic games, you have it all worked out.

The ice storm in your part of Oklahoma was expensive in terms of damage to utility infrastructure and damage to the pocketbooks of everyone in the area. I hope that last year's storm isn't repeated for another 50 or so years.

I agree - as long as power and internet stays on - chatting on BYC is a perfect way to spend a cold evening inside the house.

ok guys- giving up for the nite too- channel 2 says in our area, 1-2 inches of snow an hour on top of ice and sleet- totals about 10 14 inches- i will be surprised if we don't lose power, so maybe the chat would be better after this blows over- now- how about some chili recipes, and bean soup recipes??

I haven't been on BYC in a few days, extremely busy at work. I got on today and saw the thread locked and couldn't imagine why, boy was I relieved it was just us Okies talk to much!!!!

I personally like the new thread, the old one bogged my computer down after the changes to BYC last week.

The weather report should have an "R" rating, or at least a "PG 13" it was scary!!!!

But I think anything less the 50' is inhumanely cold.
