Maribeth, I just saw on the noon news that the cheapest gas in the metro is at 59th and Sooner.
Better stock up.

Thanks! We do try and keep all the gas tanks in the vehicles full when the temps are below freezing. We will also be filling a gas can or two in case we need to run the generator.

Robin, my runner ducks got through the 2009 Christmas ice/snow storm just fine - free ranging but with a place they could get out of the wind.

The silly muscovie ducks were swimming in their water tub a few weeks ago, which was sort of nice because it broke the ice up.

Man oh man. I just got back from the madhouse at the megatropolis grocery mall. I hate it when I forget something and have to go back to the other hemisphere. They need a shuttle base in the middle somewhere around aisle 30. Anyway, if we don't freeze we will have plenty to eat.
I brought a pickup load home (no kidding) but in about three days my DD or DS will comment about how there is nothing to eat here!

I still have some running to do to get a bale of straw for my freathered friends down at the Poultre' Chalet.
Also gonna stop at another grocery store becaus they have better meat and better meat prices.
Mr. Grace's Dad, at some time in the near future I will pm you about where to find all of the cool stuff you post.
I am gonna redo the initial post here and I need some bells and whistles. Maybe some ribbon and sparkly things too!
I am so glad everything has gone smoothly with our move. I was skeered at first. Glad folks are finding it.
