Looks like we will be back at the office tomorrow and that the kiddos will be out of school again. I am grateful for a full day and sunshine while I was emptying frozen water bowls for the rabbits and birds and refilling feed for all the critters. I need to go back to the office so I can rest the muscles I stretched today.

Lost one silkie who got covered by snow and wasn't discovered timely

I have one golden comet in a cage with straw, food and water. She acts like she may have gotten trampled since she was laying on her side near the feeder. One hen got herself tangled up inside the feeder and I had to figure out how to untangle her wing from the center pole of the feeder, in a small confined area. I don't think it is the same hen that acts injured today since the one inside the feeder looked a lighter color.

I feel fortunate to have lost only one bird since the guineas, turkeys and runner ducks were out in the snow storm and didn't seek any shelter.

I have lost one good rooster, one cockeral that wasn't nothing, and a good hen...still need to investigate furhter but I guess I should count myself lucky...
