well i made it back safe with the new 4 will drive truck have got 8+ inches of new snow

Still snowing here, gettin low on feed, hope the road will be passable soon to get out and get some- had a pipe break, so dave was out under the house fixing it- supposed to snow through the evening- got the usual mix of wild birds, starlings- which i love- since i have a couple as pets- did you know Mozart had a pet starling and they are a type of mynah? our speak fluent starwars!

we also had some crows on the porch...boy they are big close up-

my gals are still laying eggs as normal- they are oblivious to the cold i guess
 
So the girls are still doing great! Both of them are laying every day still. They seem happy and content. I think they like the snow.

We decided to get 4 chicks from atwoods and give two back to the guy that let us borrow the encubator and then my friend is going to give me a dozen eggs (a different friend, she has pretty successful hatches, and fertility) and we will keep two hens from that and give the rest back to her.

I said I was not gonna do it again, but I did not realize the eggs were not fertile. Now I know how to candle, I won't be wasting my time. This will be the last try though.

I have hatch out tons of cockatiels egg, it is so fun seeing those new little ones and seeing what you get.
