Momma and I got a new puppy yesterday, so we've been playing with him all day. Just now let him get some sleep so I decided to get on.

I love your Chickens!!!! How big (small) are their eggs?

Hi MJ,

Their eggs are small, as you would expect...but surprisingly large considering how small the chickens are.

CITY....I meant to add there IS NO SILKIE (breed) in Silkied Serama...it is a mutation within Serama.

Do they ever hatch straight feathered chicks? There are a few silkied bantam cochins but I think they were developed from Silkies several generations back. They do hatch some straight feathered chicks.

Kathyinmo, were you involved in some chickens that people were trying to breed that had kind of fluffy feathers, but not silkied. If you were what was the result with breeding them and what tyoe were they. If I remember right I think they were Amercauna.
