I haven't gotten any Keys yet Lynn! I backed out, just not for sue I want to get into them. I like the ideal of them being a mixed /crossed breed but I keep thinking,"I can do that on my own" I'll call them "East Okie Hollow Flyers" or "East Okies" !

Only problem is there are no hollows on my six acres! Guess I could go with East Okie Flatts" and "East Okie Flatt Hogs" !

I am in Nevada, MO..... about 90 miles south of Kansas City, and about 45 miles north of Joplin.

No, I have never went to those auctions.

A very pretty area, I have been there many times, I lived in KC a few years ago and my daughter still lives there,so when we go up
We stop get gas and eat..used to go to that big flea market on the north end of town..

Ohhhhhhh, I am gonna have to make my way over there to some auctions! I absolutely LOVE auctions! I am a bit of a hatching addict. I have a Sportsman, that I just can't seem to unplug, and I have 5 table top bators that I use as hatchers. I have way too many chicks hatched this past month already. This addiction may become problematic, unless I start downsizing some more, very soon!

I'm looking for a brooder. I saw a very nicely made one on ebay for $115.00, that includes shipping. I don't want a big one, need just one shelf, but I like the ones that have the wire net floor and the cleaning tray that slides in and out. Is this a good price?

Bring your chicks to the auction and we will buy them and sell you ours. It doesn't really solve the problem but it is fun and you don't feel alone with your "problem".

My property is saddle shaped with a dry creek thru the middle of it lined with cottonwoods and elms, would that be considered a hollow? Or as my mother, who is from Muldrow, would call a hollar.

I'm cheap. Here are a couple of my brooders:

Well I guess we can call it a hollow nocityb but over in the eastern part some of them are pretty deep and some are pretty wide. Either way they make nice places to put homes! Keeps you out of the wind,of course sometimes you get washed outta the hollow and sometimes you get snowed in ,in the hollow!
