Robin/Coop, no need to thank me until I actually make it. Got the feed & will pick up the groceries when I leave work.

Anyone in the Tulsa area have any Americana/ EE chicks for sale. We need 4 pullets, or more if you don't know the sex.

as far as I am concerned the smaller the spider the more dangerous and scary it is! The kids laugh at me and I don't care. I can tell you plenty of reasons not to be scared of them but when it comes right down to it...I am gone!

just saw my workaday chicken pic- now does this sound familiar?

awww- can't imagine you being scared of anything! when i was in high school we had to move and the rabbit hutch had a big spider we named maria- and you guessed it- we caught her and reset up the hutch and put her back in it!

would not have happened nope wouldn't have moved the rabbit...

When Shawn moved from the country to town I of course suckered up and helped...the stuff he had in his shed had all sorts of spiders including those nasty brown widows (when black widows and brown recluses cros creating the most dangerous spider known toman capable of killing simply by looking at you...this is how my brain sees them) I did pretty good...I shut my eyes we ran it outside I screamed tried to brush all the imaginary spiders off me and then cried....very manly...I will catch any reptile..even the posinous ones...I love the summer riding around at night picking them up off the road

i suspect like indiana jones....'I HATE snakes!', i guess the only bug i feel that way about is the giant cockroaches they have in hawaii- had one chase me through the house- while dave(coop) and our daughter laughed- i swear that thing followed me room to room!

That is funny. I've never been afraid of spiders, I don't want to hold them or anything and will kill the two poisonous ones (recluse and widow) but all others get put outside alive, in summer I will even let a few live in the windows to catch the flies which I hate w/ a passion. But I understand your fears b/c I catch a lot of grief for the two insects I am TERRIFIED of they will put me in a fetal position screaming for help in about two second flat!!!!! and they are june bugs and grasshoppers!!!! Really not kidding!

I'm actually growing those large roaches for my girls. My husband (Gary) thinks I'm out of my mind. I got a small batch a few months ago so haven't started feeding them yet, probably will grow the colony until the winter and use them as protien supplement in the winters and grow the colony through the spring and summer.
