no problems , o and your up too 5 brown leghorns , 1 EE , 4 or 5 nn i believe and more pips , 1 brown leghorn didnt get out of the shell it had that sticky crap on it , it was the only one that did that too idk what that is about

Searching through my photo's saw this one, I had forgotten about this precariously on the chicken bridge. When water is flowing, they dont have to get their toesies wet.

Close up, when the water is strong and high enough, the concrete block keeps the plank from leaving.

How do you always seem to be the first one to post every day?

(not counting when someone like MMpoultry is up fighting owls and posts before he tries to go back to bed!).

Hey are any of those the ones you got from me? Just wondering if my roo is doing is job

Don ?

So I didn't get a chance to build/find a wooden nest box, but I did find a cracked bucket this afternoon that I filled with straw and a golf ball to entice the EE to lay in it. When I got home tonight it was just starting to get dark and on a hunch I went and checked under the quail coop. One of them had laid a blue egg in a pile of leaves. I had to go get the net I use to recapture escaped quail to get it out, turning my Quail Catcher into an Egg Snatcher. I don't know if they are both laying now, or if it is the same one that laid the green egg in their coop.
But at least I was able to recover this one without accidentally breaking it.

Did the bleeding stop? Is she okay?

well, i packed it with neosporin, and dusted it with flour, which did stop it, until she picked at it- so i had her in my lap most the afternoon to keep her from picking it- silly bird- anyway- check this out....
