Let me know if you want me to go by the Department of Ag and get you some stuff - you could make arrangements for what you need and I could get it and bring it to you at POOPS. It is just up the street from my office.

The phone number to call is in my signature line

edited to clarify that I am not bringing it to you in the panhandle

Well when i first planned it i was just going to build a single pen for some laying hens but NOW that i have found this site and talked and listened to most of you i might want to change things so i can seperate and breed to raise pure bred types ... never have done that so dont know exactly how big and the best way to go about it.

I was there six months ago, now 30+ chickens (do chicks count?)

Not according to the chicken math rules, and bantams only count for 1/2 a chicken.

Evening crowd! It was a nice day here. Just a tad cool. I worked(piddleded) around outside most of the day. Getting some more cages ready for the next sale day. Burned a little scrap lumber and garden waste. Cut down some ornamental grasses. Boy I have stuff comming up and bushes budding out,the lilacs are opening up!. Then I turned around and there was a whole flock of snow birds on the ground feeding! We are supposed to get some storms but no freezeing stuff. I hope those birds were just passing thru and not ahead of a snow like usual!
Robin I have an EE that is like some of your birds. I have tried her with evry pen and she is terrified of everything! She is a standard pullet but is even afraid of the bantams half her size! She is a nice dark blue and I would like to keep her but I don't know.

some bantams count for less than half like seramas...they don't count but like 1/4...you don't count birds you have always wnted either because fo the dream clause and such

I declared war on the lilacs that were in my yard...amazing how tough them things are

If you decide that you can't find a group for her, send her my way and I will put her in a breeding pen with a good blue EE rooster, out of the way of the rest of the crowd, so the two of them can be blue EE manufacturers.

She would probably look really fine riding around in the crook of your arm - to enhance your appeal to the grade school crowd.
