I'm so proud of mine too! We probably have at least a dozen that we kept of them, I think almost every egg we got mailed to us from him hatched. I was very impressed! We only kept the pullets and are breeding frizzle roosters over them to get both frizzle and smooth naked necks.

Great!!!! can't wait to see BNNF

The next time I will be in your area is over Spring Break (week of March 14 - 18). I'm visiting TheBarnSwallow, but we have not decided what day yet. I need to catch up to Beth, too, to see if I can pick up some chickens for Donnie on my way back. I will take pictures of both duckwing roosters tomorrow and post them. If your friend is interested, we can pick a spot along the route to get him a new rooster.

Kassaundra - I don't know what I'm planting yet. I'm overwhelmed by my seed catalogs and can't make decisions now that I've started to learn about companion gardening. I will have the boring vegetables, or so my grand kids call them: broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I want to find the bunch beans my granddad used to grow. (Granddad called them bunch beans. Maybe they were bush beans?) I've had several seed packets that produced plants that were close but not exactly the same, robust, prolific green bean bushes I loved picking from. If I ever find them, I'll start saving seeds for future planting seasons. I'd love to grow some hot peppers. DH won't eat them, but I love them on just about everything. Traveling in Mexico we used to get watermelon or cantaloupe, and the street vendors would put hot sauce on the fruit if you wanted it. It was an amazing taste combination.
