Wow Joe ,do you need some more bantam Americans to sell! For some reason the bantams aren't bring much here this year, the standards are very high tho! and of course I am going to have to cull some bantam ones out of my herd to cut back

Well the auction wasn't rained out but was a bit smaller. Things were going high this year. Saw some red stars, laying age,pen of ten brought $19.50 each! All heavy breed were in the range of $12-15 each bantams were around $8-12 each. There were a lot of big,and I mean big, must have been Flemish giants, tha sold real high. One buck which was odd marked brought $45!
I managed to get a male guinea pig, which I needed, for $2,they were selling for $2-8 each. I also got a trio of Modena pigeons for only $3 each. Their box fell apart so no one wanted to take a chance of loosing them. I just took them to the truck where I had a cage. It was a day of" this is why we don't put birds in cardboard boxes"!
lol there were loose birds everywhere. Surprisingly there weren't any baby chicks there,I guess the cold rain made people keep them home
One guy brought 30+ peafowl! Said he had another hundred at home! They were bring$50-80 each.
It was a fun day despite the rain and cold.
