Hope everyone is doing well. We had ice in the water dishes this morning. I had to wear thermals to stay warm while making my morning rounds.

Anyone headed to the Afton Poultry Swap on the 19th? I'm thinking about going to see how it compares to Chupps in Inola. If anyone's been recently, give us your opinion.

Thanks Donnie! Wish I'd have gotten to talk chickens with ya more. No one near here, so I don't get to do it often.

Atwoods had banded salmon favorelle pullets. For a moment I almost considered getting them to take to poops, but hatchery lines don't hold a candle to what you can get from an established breeder.

but if anyone does want them & will pick them up at POOPS, shoot me a pm today & I'll go get'em

MOrning folks!

I hear ya'll abut cars! We are really looking at a civic and maybe a little diesel car. Like a bug or something. Those little jettas are cool. Might even think about a jeep liberty in diesel. HEck anything is better than than the 17 mpg we are getting! But the mom mobile sure is fun!

Headed to do a little looking and swaping!

Afternoon everyone!!!

Well I must say it was a real pleasure spending time with everyone at the Cement auction last night. It was wonderful getting to see some many of my BYC friends. Really sad that this was their last one. Cement was one of the first auctions I ever attended, kinda bummed it is ending. I did get a pair of millie fleur cochins last night. Sorry Mike but they were going home with me.
They are so darn sweet, the little rooster is just learning to use his crower and was crowing at my Farmville game before I took them out to the quarintine pen. So cute. I think they maybe come my second favorite set next to my partridge quad who all love to talk to me when I go out to the coop. I would love to get another hen or two if any have some they want to part with. Hint, hint!!

As for Fletcher Auction, Renia we love spending time at you auction but don't overdo it. You got all those little ones and that is a full time job itself. The first and third Saturday would be great. Maybe when Doc gets back add a third auction on the months with 5 weeks. Not trying to be bossy or anything but I care about you, Monty, Doc and am so proud of what you are doing with those kids, just want what is best for all of you. You are awesome!!!

Carla, just wanted to let you know I decided last night when I got home to stick those turkey eggs under my little silkie hen that is broody right now. It is amazing how much those little chickens can spread out to cover the eggs. I will just have to take the chicks from her when they start to hatch in a couple of weeks so she will set the turkey eggs til hatching. Maybe if I can get enough broody hens I won't have to fire up the bator. Then again????

Thinking a nap sound kind a nice. Only got a few hours sleep last night and am a bit dragon. hehehe

Everyone enjoy the beautiful day we are having out there. It is lovely
