Well I ended up skipping work today because I was feeling nauseous and dizzy as I headed out the door. I felt somewhat better by noon, so I decided tobride into town with Andrew. We went to the bank and I'm proud to say that there is no longer a lien on the pickup or car. We managed to pay both of them off today. We also paid off the small loan that we took out to remodel the house. Now all we have is the larger loan for the house, but it feels good to I've the rest of them paid off. I figured that since I was feeling so much better, I would work on the new pen for the OEGB. I managed to move the huge pen by myself and I moved the chick condo to sit beside it. I opened up one side of the combo and cut a hole in the pen to allow access. It's not permanent, but it'll do for a temporary fix. The trio loved getting to spread their wings in the big pen as opposed to their little 4x4 space. The new pen is approximately 6x20. It stands about 5 foot high and is covered with a double layer of chicken wire on all 4 sides, plus top and bottom. After I got all this done, I decided that I'm still a little puny, but overall okay.

Good job on paying off those loans, Shavon!

Buster - go ahead and become an animal hoarder - I think you have some things I'd like to rescue from you when you make the TV show!
--on a serious note, I do hope you hear from your friend in Japan soon.

I am posting from somewhere on the high lonesome plains outside of Beaver, OK. One of my folks' hens is tail down, walking like a penguin, and I remembered seeing someone on here with a Buckeye rooster that had that same problem. Nothing like a good excuse to fire up their computer and check in. According to the other thread, a good dosing of Ivermectin may cure the problem.

Driving out here I was listening to KOCO's coverage of the fires in the Harrah and surrounding areas. I hope everyone is okay. Today has been a bad day for natural disasters.

Thank you. Yeah, that appears to be it. He contacted his US family not too long ago and they passed it on to the rest of us. No power or phone service, but he managed to get through on Skype.

He's safe, but I wonder how he faired otherwise. He owns two schools there for teaching English language skills, and he has in-laws on some Island around there.

But still, it is great he is okay.

Donnie or Banjoe are you out there? Someone in Greenwood(might be Ark) has a good deal on some Barbanters! It was on the Ft. Smith craigslist.
Sooner and guys I also saw on there that there is a poultry auction in Muskogee. Did you all know about that one?

Finally got some sunshine today. Boy was it nice. I moved one of my bigger pens around and moved chickens. Teach I was ready to wring your axils neck! You should see my poor pycheon roo! He has fought with anything but he didn't like the Asill I guess,so they went after thru the wire divider! Dang Asill doesn't have a scratch on him!
