Hi Gotgame, I raise what are called Toppies in the Gamefowl world, they are a game chicken with a crest, not a full crest like a Polish or Hudan but they are nice, I also have two white hens that are Tennessee Muffed Toppies, they have crest and beards(muffs) also, I do have some pics of some of my Toppies but none of the Tenn.s, I am particularly fond of the blue color and games but I do have several other breeds pf chickens. You have found a wonderful group of folks who either live in Oklahoma or wish they lived in Oklahoma

Since you won't be able to attend POOPS maybe you can come to some auctions in the next few months and we can greet you in person at an auction. Most of us wear a T-shirt with a rooster on the front to auctions, so we are easier to find.

Disclaimer: Some of us are addicted to acquiring poultry, hatching eggs, and attending poultry auctions. Since addicts tend to be enablers, we may try to assist you in acquiring the same addictions

we raised holland lops, american fuzzies, and woolies. we had pygmy goats. We had to find alot of them new homes 3 years ago due to a house fire, but we are going strong now and ready to get our farm up and running again, we both work full time so i am going to try not to get a large group of chickens. I dont want the animals to suffer due to lack of care. I have a ? though, our coop is going to be around 6x8. was wondering how many chickens this can support. I have read so many different things. From 2 square feet per to 4 square feet per bird. I want them to be comfortable. we are going to let them freerange on the weekends when we are home all day, didnt know if that would make a difference, and of course I am using natural wood limbs for their roosts.
