Donnie - The Speckled roo is still as handsome as I remember. Any time on the chicks is fine. The Light Sussex are growing fast. Opa-Opa (103-year-old grandfather) thought the Light Sussex were beautiful. He's partial to Orpingtons, but the chicks I got from you really got his attention.

Went to Maud last night. They didnt even start selling eggs & Baby chicks until 10pm or so...

Gotta help my neighbor round up 4 more yearling bulls this weekend... Fun Fun!

Ok, Now for the bad news....

OTC Called me yesterday, as well as they have been in touch with Newcastle, blanchard and maud that I know of.
Some individual has complained that the auctions around here in Oklahoma have not been charging sales tax.
So, If you do not have a farm tax, we must charge tax. If you have a farm tax exemption, you will be good to go.
If you buy Chickens, and sign a form that says that you are not using them for consumption then you will be ok.
But we must have a copy of your tax exemption on file at each sale. and you must sign the form at each sale.
OTC Commission is cracking down on everyone just because of one bad apple. I am sorry that sales tax even has to be
charged, but if you bear with me, I will work out all the bugs in this. Just remember to bring me your Farm Tax Exemption card
to each sale. OTC says that if there are anymore complaints, that the auditors will come and step in. We dont need
this.

Who would complain that we werent charging them tax? Kinda rediculous to me, but OK!

Well I am sure you will get it ironed out Renia, Too bad though but oh well. I have my farm Tax ID card and will bring it with me, do you need me to make a copy or do you want to scan it.
