Is that the little NN that contaminated my incubator and hatcher? She didn't turn out bad and so far I haven't seen any instance of it being contagious, thank god. I guess the trip to the car wash and an acid dip, fuming and everything else we did to get the NN out of there must have worked.
I have since come to the conclusion that the Virus that causes the NN to exist has nothing to do with the bird, it is a human based virus and and seriously contageous however will not affect any equipment or housing. So some of are safe from this debiltating disease.

Would have put her in a little pen in the front yard for some fresh air, but we live in town and didn't want to get a ticket for indescent exposure.

you guys have got me laughin now!!! poor little ugly thing!!LOL! She looks like a raptor!

Home and settled with four lovely Slash and Blue Wyandottes from Stephanie and Carl. The girls (named Faith, Hope, Joy and Peace) are settled in the growout pen with the older chicks. Watched them for a while to make sure everyone was going to settle in and play nice. A little Barred Rock roo tried to taunt the girls but Peace quickly put him in his place. Every one else was picking up the scratch tossed for them to share and rubbing shoulders. Hubby really likes the new girls.....said they have the sweet temperament of our most favorite bird..Lacey, a lacy black and white cochin, RIP.

Sure enjoyed our visit and petting Zeus, Bear and Saphire....really great dogs. Steph and Carl were great too. Thank you both for the inspiration.

It was great to meet you! Im glad the girls are doing good for you. I have to thank you again for the soap and jelly. Carl already has the soap out and the boys attacked the strawberry jelly(Carl hid the jalepeno after he tried it).

I think the inspiration is backwards though, I am going to attempt homemade laundry soap!, With seeing how enthusiastic he was over the homemade soap, I figured I would try something new.

You'll have to try the jalepeno jelly on chicken. We spread a tsp on each chicken breast and bake in the oven.....yummy!
Let me know if you need help on the laundry soap. I'm pretty sure there is a recipe on the Soap thread under Hobbies.

Quick question before I put dinner on the table. A friend needs a goat for her husband's big birthday celebration. Apparently he's been inviting his friends and family for about a week now, but he'd assumed his wife already had the goat. She called me today. I don't have any goats.

If anyone out there has a meat goat for sale, please let me know. The folks needing him live in Tulsa. I could pick up a goat provided it's not more than a two hour drive from Haskell.
