Good morning all. It's supposed to be in the mid 60's today. Hope it is. Have lots of errands to run today that I've been putting off for awhile. May even drop a line in the water to see what's biting!

I tagged the soap site in my favorites, I am going to look for the ingredients and try it, sounded simple and straigt forward enough.

morning all, sorry poetry lovers, don't have a poem to post...yet.
but I found a chicken coop made from recycled items:

There has to be another entrance to check on eggs and stuff. Just can't see myself going through THAT door.

duh, there it is, where the door for the Jeep is.

Good Morning~

I got a little rest last night. I was awaken a little after 1am because my DH I guess butt dialed me.

I slept thru the alarm this morning, so I must have needed the rest.

Making a trip with my friend Heather to OKC today. A little outpatient surgery for her.

Hope everyone has a blessed Thursday! Remember, Tomorrow is Friday!

Morning everyone! I have a little problem that I have never dealt with before I would like to discuss if anyone has some time to discuss it on here....

I found one of my Silver laced Wyandottes yesterday all puffed up and walking like a stiff penguin...so of course that peaked my interest because this is not normal behavior. I walked up to her gently lifted her tail and saw that she is really swollen and has this nasty smelly stuff coming out of her vent....I scooped her up and immediately brought her in the house to wash off her butt and let it soak in warm soapy water thinking she is egg bound because she keeps straining to pass something.....After several 30 min soaks and massages....I have determined that I cannot feel anything inside (egg) she is very soft not hard. So now I'm thinking possible vent gleet?? I just don't know. Like i said never dealt with this before. I tried to get her to eat and drink but she won't....going to get some yogurt here in a bit.

She was still alive this morning and is actually putting up with all my shinanigans quite well. She is currently inside on the floor laying on a towel, with a laundry basket turned upside down over her. She is near a warm heater but not to close to get to hot....this morning she is actually sitting down rather than standing up which is an improvement. I am trying to keep it fairly dark around her as I have learned sick chickens like it for some reason.

Any ideas folks??? Anything I am doing wrong or anything different I should do??

Thanks.

Safe travels Peaches!

Sure wish you guys would of been on the soap learning when I was, it would of been fun to have someone else to learn with. You girls figure out what you want to make & I will be glad to come that direction if needed.

Ivy sorry I have no ideals. Sounds like you are doing everything you can. Hope she gets better.

Sure glad you gals got this thread cleaned up last night with all that soap making. I must say it sure smells better this morning!

Ivy I don't think I would do anything different than what you have already stated, I have never had that happen, i would watch for the color of poop when she goes. Hopefully she will eat today......and hopefully someone with more information will come along.
