Okla...thanks

My mother used to make soap and I have several of her soap notebooks but have no idea how to make it myself it would be nice to learn. I love homemade soap!

When she goes it appears to be normal....a little thick but normal. I feed a feed that is all natural with prebiotics and probiotics and added yeast and marigold extract. Nutrena Naturewise 16% layer pellet. So not sure why she would have vent gleet while eating that feed. I'm so confused.

I must say I am exited my eggs left for haiti's this morning 4 dozen total. Buckeyes, Plymouth White Rocks, Black autrelorps, and Ameruacana's here is a link to part of the story. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=271644&p=264 It really feels good to be apart of saving the World one egg at a time. and this is why I love raising chickens. I will be making a page and documenting all progress in haiti's and My birds and there growth and development.

Will have the real chicken doctor get ahold of you. He is kinda slow to get around so I will call him in a bit.

i think the bathing was a good idea- i wouldn't count out an egg issue, give her some tums in her water- and you might bathe her again today, as it helps them relax-

i really like the sound of the feed- how much does it run?

Tums??? how much and what does it do? Would equate brand rolaid look a like be ok??
She fell asleep during each soak so she seemed to like it. Or she is sicker than I think. But her eyes are bright and her coloring in her comb and wattles is excellent and she is alert except for the bath.

Atwoods just started carrying it...I get a 50 lb bag for around 15 dollars. It is expensive unfortunately....but I have heard that I can order it directly here for cheaper so i am looking into that and will let you know. But it is an all natural, no hormones, no antibiotic, high grade feed. They love it! And they seem more satisfied and eat less of it than the crappy regular Atwoods brand feed.

It may not be that, it could be she layed a soft shell internally, there are so many things that we don't understand. she might of ate something bad free ranging. Hopefully alittle warmth & TLC will set her right. If she doesn't eat you will have to figure out some tasty treat or even possibly make her eat......AT this point I would just wait to see if she does it on her own first.

tums is pure calcium, so the ingredients need to be the same- one in her water- its used as a quick calcium boost and helps their muscles relax to pass an egg- if there is one
