What is cold press soap?

I havent started reading yet..... Dropped the kids off at school and Kaitlynn called me, said she was running late and wanted to know if I would take Kasyn today. So I have the grandbaby, and oh my goodness, somebody gave me an evil whiney baby today. I just put her down for a nap. I hope it improves her attitude today!

Once you start reading you will understand. Cold press there is no heat added other than the chemical reaction. Hot press involves heat. Then you have melt & pour.

Just got done soaking her again and the vent area this morning is a lot less swollen and red....it has actually closed back up to normal rather than kinda staying open. It is a nice pink color with less smell. I offered her yogurt and she ate a ton of it and then decided she wanted some of her regular pellets and is still eating those!!!

I even got her to drink a little tums water and she is still clucking at me so that has got to be good signs! Maybe she will make it

My mom did both types. Something about they both work well....I have all of her soap notebooks since she passed away but haven't had the nerve to look at them much less do them on my own. I remember her getting all dressed up to protect herself from the lye. Goggles and gloves were the norm lol

Cold is how they made lye in the old days. The only heat that was use was for rendering the fat.
