if I cant find any fayoumis, what other breeds would you recommend that can get along with other chickens that are in their pens, and still make it completely free ranging? I would just get some game hens and a game cock but game cocks will be fighting my roosters through the wire on their pens...dont want a rooster that goes looking for a fight...

We have been pretty busy at church lately. We had two Singing Churchmen concerts in two weeks then an "Art of Marriage" conference leading up to a Revival and then extra time needed putting the finishing touches on our Easter Cantata has kept me hopping.

Grace is another story. I will let her tell everyone about her last few months. (it is good news)

No luck with the coyotes. I lost a super nice game pullet to them a week or so ago.

Do you want me to bring my crew by to kill some coyotes?

Why not order fayomi chicks from a hatchery like Ideal since no one local has them?

not a bad idea, and I probably will, was just hopin someone would have some so I could actually see them...

Good Morning everyone.

Kass - I can't believe they dyed the chicken pink! Too Cute...Sounds like a reason to get a silkie, I can't imagine dying my standards.

Ok - I posted this on another forum, but would like your guys thoughts. Remember Im new, don't know if I should be worried or not...Here is what I posted.

One of my hens, a splash EE that I have had for 3 weeks that I'm not sure has laid any eggs for me even though my son swears she laid one. Then on sunday o saw her have a green watery poop, yesterday I saw her vomit up water to which all the other chickens ate, then this am again i saw a watery green poop. Have not changed feed or given any table scraps, has grit. She seems fine temperament wise. Comb light pink. Should I be worried? What do you think it is?
