Good morning everyone that is up on a sunday morning.. finally going to move the chicks to the coop. it was slow going with to many irons in the fire to work on it as much as i wanted. was either going to have to finish it or build some nest boxes for the brooder...lol.. got some bumping their heads on the top of the brooder and its two ft high..

oh yes i did get to catch up on the reading here and i wanted to say congrats to both Maddie and Dustin on their wins at the show yesterday. I think its so good to get the kids involved in any type of animal related things . it seems that so many kids today dont know a thing about animals or caring for them . i feel like its the job or the responsibility of us as adults to teach kids about agriculture and animals without someone to guide them they are lost and with it so is the farming and raising animals way of life... ok ok i will shut up now..lol

Thanks Six, no need to shut up. There are alot of us that feel that way. Some don't even know where their food comes from & that is very important considering they will be voting one day.

Yes i agree and i hope it never comes to it but it seems the world is going backwards nowdays and if could be that one day if you dont know the (how to) about raising animals for food and growing produce you will be doing without.. its sad to say but in the big cities most kids and grownups dont know anything about how or where they get their food.. they just take it for granted that it will always be there on the shelf and some day it just might not be there.

Its strange well maybe thats not the right word to use but anyway i havent been coming here all that long and i dont know a thimble full about chickens compared to most here but i feel like i know most of you already and i havent ever met the first one in person.. it just seems like everyone here is like one big family. i come here everyday to read although i dont usually say anything . there are all kinds of different folks here and everyone has their own views and ideas about chickens.but still everyone is nice and friendly and willing to help anyway they can. i guess what im trying to say is this is the best place to come and relax and read about what everyone is doing and i also have learned so much from coming here... i do hope to meet everyone of the good people that come here . it may take awhile to get around to meeting alot of you because of the distance but at least now i know if i got a problem it can be fixed with just a few clicks of a mouse...So i would like to say thanks to the BYC site and to the great and kind folks of Oklahoma for making this a great place to come and enjoy and learn... ok now im done rambling

I am glad that I have got to meet you Six! Come to POOPS & you will meet alot of the folks from here. It really is a good time even with the distance.
