also realized i didn't address more questions... we've had chickens (my husband, 2girls and i) for a bit over a year. i had them as a child. i love a good mix! i'm interested in mix breeding, though i understand most people frown on that...

Congrats on the hatch and I hope your barn sale goes well also ,sounds like it will be around poops time , you should attend poops its a great family event and a good way to obtain , sell, swap and trade birds and hold some good conversation with some of our most popular members and fellow okies here on byc and hey you never know the news crew was out last year

Just got back from fire watch, been takin care of some things and watering just in case, I am pretty well set if it flares again. The main line of this fire was only 1/2 mile away and just on the edge of my western pasture, it started 5 or 6 miles away in eastern Lawton and was heading Nor/ Noreast toward Elgin proper. They did have a good show of force on it and they were able to keep it from jumping Trail Rd, which would have spelled history for me if it did. many many more have sprung up around here a few big ones in the Duncan/Velma area, one on HWY 7 just south of my about 4 miles, and surrounding Cement is still blazing hard. So in a nutshell they are all around me so I will be sleeping lighter than Teach with one eye opened tonight LOL. Thank you all for your concern.
