I don't consider myself a breeder but do breed some pure breds but my layer flock is mixed, everything under the sun with a mutt roo & a sumatra roo over them. I have some really pretty colors.

Good luck Al! I just can't believe all these fires an its just barely spring!Whats summer and fall going to be? So sad for our great state. Soomeone was talking about selling drought culls fo cattle,thats just so sad to hear at this time of year.
We finally got our tv,phone and internet back on,been off since friday morning! Lightning! Wow heard on the news about all the tornadoes over the weekend. Something like 200 in a three day period! I'm starting to get worried about our old earth,sure are lots of scary changes going on with weather and shakes and fires,floods,etc. Its almost something new every day!

I worked all morning redoing pens again! Never ending job if you raise chickens I think.lol But have all breeds and pairs separated so all my eggs are stable. Have a broody silkie hatching tonight. Moved the biggest chicks outside again,Hopefully it doesn't get as cold tonight.

WElcome to all the new people ! We are growing faster than Robins,broiler chick!lol I love that so many people are getting back to haveing chickens again.

my EE're rooster (as many in my thread have said he is) is a bit aggressive towards people, badly against me, my girls (plus the hens) and my other rooster... I'm fixing to place him for sale some how. would anyone here be interested? He's Beautiful!

Graybear and Teach here is the new game pair. Sorry the pics aren't the best. The cock has apparently been fought,his spurs have been sawed off and he has a few scars on his head(don't we all) and is blind in one eye. But boy you better be careful if he gets that good eye on you! He is not afraid to go into attack mode!lol I'm thinking he is Claret by his coloring being so rich and dark. What do you all think. Cubalaya,you got any thoughts on what strain?

Does anybody know when the atwoods at Shawnee gets new chicks. Thinking about stopping by there on my way home tomorrow and seeing if they have some turkeys. Went to the one at Norman today to kill a little time today and they had some, but Im in the hotel for 1 more night.
