I think the better question is "Is it normal to sit in the coop to watch the chickens?"https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/30285_laugh.gif

Well it's not normal for normal people but ]b]when normal people become chicken people it's required.[/b]

Im right there with you Elwood, how are all these people reporting rain, the sky looks like rain and I am dry...dry...DRY!!!

Out checking for a new calf and moving cows and calves to a pasture with water for the night, we had enough mist enough to turn on the windshield wipers for a few swipes.

I took the chicks into the garage just in case - by some fluke of nature - rain happens to come this way this evening. They are noisy little things.

we have 2 tubs set up in the laundry room for our baby chicks, we keep them in the first two weeks...depending on how many we hatch out we may keep them in longer, but yep, they can be a little noisy...we have 36 in there right now, from 1 to 2 weeks old...

I dont sit in the coop watchin them, I have a real comfy metal rockin chair in the yard, under a shade tree, I go out and turn a pen or two of modern bantams loose and enjoy watchin them chasin bugs, hoppin around....

....we have 4 breeds, seramas, modern bantams, old english and shamo bantams...now the number of varieties, of each breed, thats a different story

He looked at me and pointed to one pin at a time and asked what those were. I just simply named off the breed and the color, he finally just walked off...
