It never did stop. So I left this morning and drove down to TX. The rain chased me much of the way. My wonderful blessing of a second father, Tom, is in the hospital here in Denton. My brother and his wife flew in from D.C. last night. We sent Mom home tonight to get some rest - she has been here for 8 days. It is my privilege to stay in our Tom's room with him tonight. He drifts in and out of lucidity. Thankfully he is sleeping now, and I hope he can sleep most of the night, although with people coming in every 2 hours to poke him, I don't know how much rest he'll really get. My mom said yesterday she thought she heard him talking to someone, and when she asked if he needed anything, he said he was talking to the Master. When visitors ask if they can do anything, he often asks for prayer - so if you would, please pray for Tom's peaceful passage to his real Home.

I just saw where Police have a man hold up in a house in Choctaw and it's a stand-off. A couple of schools in the area are on lockdown. Hope Monty is not too close.

No problem Doodle i know most everyone knows everyone else and are good friends . i come here everynight and just read what everyone is saying.. i rarely post anything. i was taught the best way to learn is to listen or in this case read it. but thanks for replying to me.. i do know im not a part of this chicken family so thats why i just sit and read and not say much to interupt the conversation..

We've had 7-8" of rain in the last two days and flooding all around and more rain is coming tomorrow evening into Wednesday morning... time to get a pontoon boat!

Sometimes it takes awhile to get answered, and like Okla Doodle said, it doesn't hurt to ask more than once on here. You are as much a part of this chicken family as anyone.
