Just wanted to add a couple of things sixshooter that may help.

I do use Ivermectin as well for feather mites but put a couple of drops under each wing at the shoulder joint. I have heard a mixture of windex and vinger is also effective but have only used this on the llamas to detract flys and mosquitos.

so would those peppers be different than cayenne pepper? DE i have to order online- unless someone decides to sell some at poops..hint!!

wonder if the windex and vinegar would work on dogs with fleas???

If people need DE I can bring some to POOPS with me. The feedstore I buy it from in Norman sells, 5lb, 10lb, 20lb (I think) and 50lbs bags. I usually by 10lb bags, for I believe $15 but I will need to get back to you on the price. The reason I only get a 10lb bag at a time is because of storage issues. If there are enough people interested I can buy a 50lb bag and we can split it up. Windex and vinegar will probably work temporarily but will have to applied daily to be effective. For flea and tick control adding brewer's yeast and a little garlic powder (only a little and it has to be the powdered form because heavy doses and fresh garlic can be toxic to dogs), is very helpful.

You can give garlic powder to chickens, as well but I have heard that it can be tasted in the eggs.

Kass nice butterflys.Have you noticed an abundance of swollow tails this spring? We don't usually have them till summer or fall but I have seen a lot this spring.

Cowboy your friend wouldn't happen to go by "Teach" would he? If not he will be your next best friend when he hears you have Asils!lol I have one pair, not for sure to much about the breed tho. This pair the roo is BB Red color and the hen is that fawn game color. They are slim ,tall long legged birds. I am surprised at the chicks. They are yellow and very light chipmunk.
